“If you want your child to play golf, but they would rather be playing video games, reading books or completing math problems for fun; then Gavin is your guy. Gavin’s enthusiasm and excitement is more attractive to kids than the newest online video game."
"Coach Gavin has changed the game of golf. His enthusiasm and dedication for teaching kids the love of golf is unlike anything that has been seen before. He has a way of adapting his teaching to any child to meet their needs and engage with them on their level. It’s not just about golf, it’s about teaching the way to approach life and challenges everyone will face in life. What was once a boring and frustrating activity for our three children is now exciting and enjoyable. Coach Gavin’s passion for teaching youth golf is contagious and will change how anyone views youth golf. "
" Gavin is the most energetic, enthusiastic golf coach we have ever worked with! He has a natural ability to get children excited about golf! He teaches them in a way that they can understand by playing exciting and fun games! Gavin has also taught my older son. He is encouraging, knowledgeable and patient. He goes above and beyond to make sure every child feels like they are the most important kid in a class or lesson! Gavin is so positive! We highly recommended him! "
"Energetic. Enthusiastic. Knowledgeable. Genuine. Motivated. So many superlatives come to mind when I think of Gavin Parker. CEO of Junior Golf doesn't tell the whole story. Although he's deserving of such a title, Gavin is much more than just CEO. He's the CEO, the Director, the Mid-Level Manager, and the
Individual Contributor. I can't say enough about what he's done for my game, from guiding me through putting stroke improvements, to squeezing some extra mph on the swing speed, to helping me shave strokes around the green. He's helped me understand, through use of technology and coaching, and by
encouraging practice, I can still reach my golf goals, even in my late 50s. I had two remaining goals when I met him: shoot
in the 60s, and shoot a bogey free round. Number one is done thanks in large part to Gavin's drive for excellence."
"The first time I met Gavin, he was one of the teaching pros/counselors at a golf camp for my son who was 11. He had played golf since he was very young but never really serious about it. That week, he came home everyday and said how much fun he had, which was a word he rarely used after golf camp, he always liked it and learned a bit but this was a different feeling. Fast forward 6 years and our family has gotten to know Gavin on a different level. My son has gotten much more serious about golf and grinds more than he used to and while Gavin is still his golf coach, he’s so much more. Gavin has become a mentor and cheerleader for my son, in all aspects of his life, not just golf. His enthusiasm is contagious and it’s impossible to not have fun when you’re around him. Watching Gavin with my son has given me the opportunity to see his confidence grow from having Gavin, his biggest cheerleader, mentor and enthusiast in his corner, not just for golf but as he becomes a young man. Gavin sees the big picture for the kids he teaches and while golf is his avenue, the lessons they learn from him go far beyond the golf course."
"Gavin is the most positive and energetic person I have ever met. I’ll never forget one of the first interactions that I had with him. Gavin was shadowing some other coaches at a golf school that I was attending. One of the coaches was instructing me on how to deliver the clubhead differently. He said that if I did it correctly, the ball would probably go right. So on my next shot I hit this weak push to the right. I, being a golfer, immediately started to have negative feelings about what I judged as a poor shot. A millisecond later, Gavin saved me from myself. He ran up to me excitedly and gave me a high five! I had succeeded in my intention and should have had a positive reaction. I’m so thankful that Gavin was there to celebrate this little victory."
" I’ve been playing golf now for 30 years. I hope my daughters, ages 6 and 8, will be interested in golf so we can play together. Watching Gavin work with other children, I immediately saw an opportunity to give my girls something I couldn’t; a fun time while learning the game. Both my girls are shy, so I knew he would have a challenge ahead of him. Gavin exceeded those challenges and made the learning fun. I’ve seen my girls achieve skills quicker than I thought possible. There is no truer statement than what a friend told me while we were talking about Gavin and his junior program, “if your kid doesn’t enjoy playing golf with him, your kid is most likely never going to enjoy playing golf.” Gavin is a true asset and gives more than he takes from the golfing community.."
